Hugs, tears, and warm greetings were had! People I thought I would never see again I WAS ABLE TO SEE FOR A SECOND TIME. Unbelievable! I really don't travel, so I can't believe I actually made this trip twice.
I fell in love with these two quilts on display and bought the fat quarters to make the bright one on black.
My bundle...
I would love to make Sandy's quilt design sometime too. I found a new style of fabric to love in her booth. Here we are together as new friends. Such a lovely and happy lady.
Jenny showed me the pinwill block my sister, Tracy, made for Jenny on our last trip to Australia. Love how she made it into a bag!
Brenda makes the best pink candy and sews amazing quilts.
Sue is truly a sweetheart to spend time with.
I was actually able to go fabric shopping with my dear Aussie friend, Jo. With her I purchased Tilda fabric to make a bag like this.
Jo has also inspired me to try out Sashiko. I purchased this Aussie inspired and printed panel to do just that.
I also needed a 1 meter piece to contribute to the Rainbow Connection Quilters. I chose this. Betty will give everyone in the group a piece to put in a future block. I also picked up the lavender and green because they matched.

I can see why you shopped when and where you did. Maybe you will make back to Baradine again.... It would be nice to meet you in person again.
ReplyDeleteFantastic memories! Love that bundle you got--it's almost as bright as all of the smiles in the photos.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Sandy's quilt a fussy cut version of Brimfield? Someone had that as a finished quilt we we were there done in rainbow colours.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics you've found to match the donated one Deana. I also love the fat quarter bundle for the bright quilt. Good luck with that one.
ReplyDeleteThat bright quilt will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteIt was good of you to help the Australian economy by doing a bit of shopping . . .LOL
Just loved to see you again Deana and meet the other ladies. I’m so glad you had a great time
ReplyDeleteI really like the quilt at the top of this post - with the black background. Would you share the pattern name? Thank you.

It was so good having time with you and your friends again. Yes, I loved shopping with you and could do it lots more. I have just read back a few posts and have enjoyed the memories of our stay at Baradine and your travels too. Can’t wait to see your future quilts with those beautiful fabrics.
