Quilt Shop, and Forbes with Sue and Raewyn

We just happened on a super cute quilt shop in Braidwood. The owner was so talented. I was in love with this quilt she designed!

Look at it up close!  She has won awards for her work.

I purchased these aboriginal styled prints in this shop.

We got a kick out of Aussie signage. In America, "Give Way" signs say "yield".  "No Overtaking" is "No passing".

I like this sign too. We have horses  and understand that non-horse people might not know to not drive up next to an animal on a bridge.

It was a lovely day touring the sculpture art with my long time Aussie/NZ friends as well as longer time friends from home. The name of this sculpture was "Road Kill". If you zoom in on the details, you will see a roo smacking the road with a dagger causing it to curve up. There are vehicles on the damaged road.

I have an interest in the aboriginal culture, art, history, and have even purchased fabric in that style. Loved this big guy!

After the sculpture art, we saw an Aussie rendition of Route 66. I loved the car art! It is hard to even tell that some of them are cars.

Zoom in on the next photo to really see the art.
