One Monthly Goal for July

I am hopeful for another finish this year with my "Quilty Ladies" still lingering around but getting close.  I should be able to get the top done this month which will be my one monthly goal.

I created these ladies a year ago for a class I taught at a retreat.  They were a ton of work, but I really like them.  I am envisioning a wall quilt for my sewing room.  Each lady was named alphabetically as I made them:

Amanda is on the top left in a red top and blue glasses.

Bernice is on the top right in pink top and glasses.

Celeste is the wild blonde on the bottom right.

Daisy is in the center with purple glasses.

Esther is on the bottom left.

I am currently piecing little scissor blocks to go in the blocks with the stars.  All of the blocks will be sized to a square once I decide the size I want.

In addition, I hope to...

Make a couple Celestial Stars

Finish up my Spring Mystery top. Week 6 will be released this week and will be the last one.

Bind and attach a hanging sleeve to Color My World once it returns from my fabulous quilter.

Make my $ building blocks when the pattern is released.

Sew my July exchange blocks

Put hanging sleeves on the backs of 6 quilts that are pinned and ready to sew.

Assemble my Stashbee quilt.  I am waiting for 2 more blocks to arrive in the mail.

Non quilt goals:

Get my math class up to speed before school starts by doing it in July instead of August.

  3. So the designs are your creation? Whew! I thought I was going crazy myself, as I tried to find where the patterns were to tell a group of friends about them! You are an amazing foundation paper piecer. I will never do these blocks, having enough trouble with just straight line blocks, like flying geese or peaky and spike, but I so admire those who can do them.
