Deana: Periwinkle is quilted!

I am very close to my first finish of the year.  I finally got a little initiative and finalized the machine quilting.  I am very very happy with it.

This quilt was planned for me in a family round robin by my sister, Tracy.   All of my sisters and mother each sewed a row.  I love the bright colors and the Batiks, of course.

I attached the binding and will get the hand work done soon.

  1. That is gorgeous! I love the bright batiks too. That little one atop the quilt is adorable as well.

  2. Wow this is so beautiful! And so amazing that it is the work of many people. I would imagine that when difficult blocks like these with triangles are done with many people, you would have more difficulty with putting the blocks together due to slight variations. Your entire family is very talented indeed.

  3. The quilting looks great! Congrats on your almost finish. It will be nice to sit and stitch with all those bright colors looking back at you. A perfect project to work on to warm up a cold winter's day.

  8. Hello Deana,
What a beautiful colourful quilt, and it looks huge with such a tiny little girl sitting on it. She is such a poppet.
