Mid Year Check In

Quilting Jet Girl hosts a Planning Party at the first of each year and it is time for Mid Year Check in.  My plan included seven items.  Lets take a look at the progress.

1. PHD

I am on good track with this one.  It is July and I nearly have 7 quilts finished with only one new start this year.

UFO Progress:

Justin's Medallion is nearly quilted and I spent a few hours on Dear Jane earlier in the year.

Frog quilt went from blocks to finish!

I have made progress on some quilt tops listed above.  Diamond Hill's applique' border is finally finished with all that hand work.  It has been in the works for 4 years. I didn't get a photo with the last border - sorry.

Masterpiece has multiplied greatly.

Sleeping Beauty is done.

Feathered Goose is back under the machine and progressing this week. I posted about it yesterday.

2. Patchwork Times UFO Challenge progress

Wow, I am ahead of schedule on this one.  I had kind of planned it this way.  The UFO challenge breaks down project goals that are not necessarily finishes.  I need to be ahead on finishing tops so that I will have time to quilt them before December in order to earn my PHD.

3. 15 Minutes a day - I am at 90% which is amazing!

4. One Christmas project a month

I had completely forgotten about this one.  I think I only worked on a Christmas project one month this whole year.

5. Help Mom with Lakeshore Hasta - Yes, but I need to get over to visit her soon to progress this project along.

6. Design for the Seams to Be Sew Row-Along - NOPE!  I decided to back out of this one this year and get projects done instead.

7. 350 Blocks Challenge at Prairie Moon - I have made 190 blocks so far this year.

It is always fun to stack up the YTD finishes for a photo.

I don't think I ever posted my Windmill Top done.  It is basted and ready to hit the quilting machine next.  This has been my new 2021 project.

  4. Oh my gosh -- seeing all of these projects together in one post, it just takes my breath away! I don't know how you decide which one to work on. As I scroll through the post, I'm thinking "This one's my favorite -- no, THIS one! Wait, THIS one!"

  8. I have to comment on Thursday's photos!! What a wonderful group of a good looking family! And all the blessings that new baby has to set her off on a good path. You have done amazing on all of your projects, too. That one that you are helping your Mom with sticks out the most to me. WOWEE!! It is gorgeous and it looks HARD. Of course, Aurora shares a special spot in my heart. I love those princess blocks. ~smile~ Roseanne
