One Monthly Goal for May and 15 Min Report

Yay!  It is May!  School is out early!  We have moved from red level to orange level on the Covid19 scale.  Life is good.

My One Monthly Goal is to quilt and bind Princess Stars.  It is close, so I should be able to accomplish it.  I have not done so well with my OMG previously this year, but I am still clipping along.

Here is my progress on Princess Stars thus far:

The next two photos are of the back.

I have been able to talk to my hospitalized daughter daily and let her kids talk to her as well.  She sounds positive.  She posted this photo of herself this week, so I think it is ok for me to share.  She was 30 weeks when she took it.  She looks thin to me.  These babies have certainly taken it out of her, but they are worth it.

Her husband was able to spend the weekend at the hospital with her.  I am glad he can go in, but no one else can.

In the mean time, I get to play with her kids every day while sewing, gardening, and grading school work.

  1. Great quilt and I'm loving the design for the quilting. Your daughter is lovely, and the grandkids....with more to come.

  2. I'm so glad she's doing so well. What a time to be in the hospital! They are certainly monitoring her closely, and getting to 30 weeks is a huge milestone! Congratulations to everyone on that one. I'm sure she is more bored and restless and ready to be done than most pregnant moms, and that's saying a lot! Your quilt is looking wonderful. I like the idea of all the e-l in the triangles.

    Best of luck finishing!

  3. Princess Stars is so very pretty. I always admire your industry with your quilts - with grandkids onhand, even! Lucky girl, quilting influence from Grandma and auto work influence from Grandpa - she's going to have the best well-rounded inclinations. :) It's good to hear that your daughter is doing well; I'm so glad they're letting her husband be with her! What a picture for memories later!

  5. I'm so glad you are getting updated photos. The longer she holds on the better. Your grandies are just beautiful. Still thinking of the excitement of more in the family. Hopefully restrictions are lifted in time for you to visit...
