Slow February

I have been super busy with family which has been super wonderful!  All three of my kids came home this week along with three grand babies.  We played table tennis, cards, and even went to the pool.  I also found out yesterday that grand baby #4 is a boy.  He will arrive in July.  We are a happy, growing family!

On the other hand, I have not been sewing as much as I had planned.  The way I see it, family always trumps sewing.  I did manage to sew 4 out of 6 days this past week.  I finished one half of my One Monthly Goal which was to make these orange/green blocks into a top.  Borders were not part of my goal, but I do have a plan for them.

This quilt was the draw number for February's UFO challenge at Patchwork Times.  I am linking up over there.  Check out what others have done.  I call this quilt my "Memory Round Robin" because for every block I made for someone else's quilt that year, I made one for myself as well.  What a variety!!!

I also made two sets of elf legs for my Christmas Row quilt.

Here is my 15 minutes to stitch report:

  3. Very much agree that family trumps sewing :) Looks like while enjoying the family time you were able to sneak in some great sewing time as well. Those elf blocks are adorable! Congrats on grandbaby #4 :)

  4. Family definitely trumps sewing! How wonderful to have such a gathering - and it's not even Thanksgiving or Christmas!
