To Do Tuesday, PHD update, and 15 min to Stitch

Here is my
To Do Tuesday list
for this week:

This week's goals are many.  They are so many that I likely won't get them all quite done, but I plan to try anyway.

1.  Baste and quilt Fuscia Hexagon

2. Finish two Bear Paw Cabin Quilts

If you look at the log cabin quilt on my design wall you will see that I have partially made bear paw blocks.  This photo below shows pieces cut and ready to sew to complete those blocks.

I am experimenting with a slight change in my Bear Paw Cabin quilt because I have enough background fabric to make one quilt but am short a little to make the second.  I have extra pieces to make more log cabin blocks to use in place of the white space.  I am just auditioning layout options that will use a wee bit less white.

Or would I prefer more white toward the trees?

I am comparing it to the original design below.  Perhaps I could put some bears in the white log cabin space above.  It looks funny right now with the bear paw blocks not complete and no tree blocks.

3. Make one Mondo Bag

I need to cut the lining out of the grey heart fabric, attach batting for a stabilizer, make handles, and then sew it up.

4.  Baste one of the Bear Paw Quilts

  1. Good Morning,
That is an ambitious list for the week! Two Bear Claw Cabin quilts sounds like a lot. But getting two PHD finishes sounds awesome - good for you. That would make you halfway to your goal and it's still early April. Amazing! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. I'm liking more light towards the trees. That will be beautiful. Enjoy your sewing time.

  4. Lot's of great projects to choose to work on this week. I can't wait to see which layout you go with for the log cabin quilt. I kept looking at the choices and both are great.
