Deana: Pieceful Country for February

I was able to finish up month two of the "Land of Liberty" quilt-along.  Well, everything except for the hand embroidery which will take some time.  I am really liking how it is turning out.

February featured an Eagle which I swithed out for a chicken.  The chicken has been done for years except the feet which I stitched up quickly.  I didn't care for the angel in the quilt so I found an embroidery pattern and got her marked and colored in with crayon.  The ugly big stitches are just basting stitches to hold the liner on.

Here is the February section:

This is a close up of my Angel in progress.

Here is the January section that now shows some color on my house.  You can also see that I've got a start on the stitching.

Here are both sections together with border pieces randomly placed at the bottom.

I am linking up with Humble Quilts and Esther's WOW.

  2. This is so delightful. You've really made it your own. I love the color palette. AND, what a bonus that the chicken was already made and can now be used.
