Deana: 2 done with 4 to go

Hello Blogland!  How is your weekend sewing starting out?  Well, I got two of my paper pieced houses done.  They were pretty tedius, but they are so darn cute that I think I can keep moving along on the other four over the rest of the weekend.

My sewing room is a mess.  For some reason I am so much messier when I paper piece.  How do you keep your paper piecing clean and neat?

  2. You don't keep things neat and clean with paper piecing. At least I don't.

  3. You never have a clean sewing room when paper piecing, vacuum it at the end. These blocks are wonderful - so much detail. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.

  4. Okay, I am just drooling right now. Love these so much!!! You don't keep your house neat when paper piecing. The threads and fabric bits and paper snips go everywhere, sticking to your feet when you go from room to room. And that's okay. Because it's just too much fun. And then in the end you spend some time vacuuming and putting things away until you start all over again, and you feel great because your house looked wonderful for just a few minutes. Before it looked wonderfully messy because you were making art.

  5. Deana, your houses look so nice! I really love your fabric combos, and the patterns are quite intricate, aren't they? I can't believe how much work you've accomplished on these since you first posted your fabric choices last weekend.

  6. Paper piecing is messy business. I don’t think there is any way to avoid that.
These are such intricate patterns. I don’t know how you plan to finish eight in one month while working!
