Flowering Snowball is quilted!

I just finished quilting "Flowering Snowball".  It was a Stashbee quilt and I absolutely love it!  I have decided that it can also be an eye spy quilt because there are a lot of hidden pictures in all of the many fabrics.

My neice, Abbey, came to visit for a week and she loves to sew quilts.  I gave her some of my old scraps and taught her how to make stars.  She is making the star quilt you see on my design wall.  It is fun to see her having fun with all of my old scraps.  She is only 12 by the way.

A neighbor brought over this beautiful white dress that she crocheted for my new grand daughter.  It is so beautiful and takes so much time.  Abbey is showing it in the photo.

Abbey took a picture of me.  I look pretty bad.  We didn't do makeup or hair today.

  1. Oh I love it too! And look at you quilting away - who has time for hair and makeup when there's quilting to be done? Thanks for sharing this on Midweek Makers!

  2. Hi DQ,
Abbey is so cute, and is really doing a nice job on her quilt. She is a good holder, too - perhaps you could enlist her to hold your quilts for photography?!! You did a fabulous job on the quilt. I just love the quilting! I am lusting after your Juki. I want one of those in the worst way . . . but the nearest dealer is just too darn far away to be practical. Unless I move?!?!! ~smile~ Roseanne P.S. You are just as cute as Abbey!

  3. I LOVE the quilting on that and the way it turned out. That picture of you is awesome =) . I hate pics of myself, too, but I prefer candids--they're more real-life.

  13. The snowball quilt is gorgeous! You did a wonderful job on the quilting. How sweet to see your niece take an interest. My daughter started around 8 but didn't make real quilts until she got older. Isn't it fun to share your quilting with her?

  14. You're cute!! I'm pretty sure every one of us quilters knows the delights of working in PJs and wild hair. At least once a week I get up, and get straight to work on something in the quiet of the morning, and then the work day is winding down and I think maybe I ought to freshen up and actually get dressed for dinner time. LOL! Wow, I would love it if one of my nieces wanted to come quilt with me. :) Fun times for sure.
