To Do Tuesday and PHD progress update

I have a few things I hope to work on this week for To Do Tuesday:

  • Make a few Feathered Goose Blocks

  • Finish machine applique' on my black Round Robin. I just finished this pieced block for this quilt yesterday.

  • Quilt my pink bag.  I did get it started yesterday.  I am using a new ruler I purchased a few months back.  It is fun and easy.

  • Cut out my next Alaska block
  • Piece a little bit of Rapunzel.  I think I only have four pieces left but two are the eyes.  They are crazy - lots of little pieces.

  • Bind Periwinkle
  • Plan my Christmas Tree row for my Christmas quilt

These are the things I have already worked on in January to help earn my PHD.  I have not started any new projects.

  1. You've been busy the first seven days of the year. You are well on your way to getting your PhD this year.

  2. Hello! I am SO thrilled to see your post and link up today. I have been meaning to follow you and see how you were doing on the princesses. OOOH! Rapunzel is looking so good. I have a little bit more paper piecing experience since the last time I saw your progress - enough that I might just try this myself. What a great list of to-do projects for the week. I'm not sure which ruler you used on the pink bag but I sure love the look of the results. Thanks for linking up (and it's hosted on a new website now, just FYI). ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. So many great projects with achievable bite sized goals. I particularly like those feathered goose blocks although they look like lots of work!

  4. You are so organized. I know it helps to make lists. I put a UFO list on my refrigerator a year ago and I was able to complete over half of them withing a year so. It was good to be reminded on a regular basis. I am intrigued by the quilt with the black circles. So interesting.

  5. Those eye sections do look like tiny pieces. Yikes. Your Feathered Geese blocks are really pretty. You have so many fun projects in the works.

  6. I pinned your progress on Rapunzel. I want to do a self portrait quilt and was battling with how to do the eyes.

  9. Hi, Deanna. I know this is an older post; I used the Search feature on your blog to find your last post on quilting with rulers. :-). Wanted to let you know that I just found a new linky party that is just for ruler work quilting, at a new-to-me blog called The Quilt Yarn. I've invested in a ton of rulers and I'm looking forward to encouragement, motivation and inspiration for putting them to good use -- I hope you'll participate! You could even link up THIS post today, if you don't have anything more recent using rulers.https://thequiltyarn.blogspot.com/2020/03/lets-do-some-ruler-work-linky-party-4.html

If that direct link doesn't come through, you can go straight to Karin's blog at thequiltyyarn.blogspot.com. Hope to see you there!
