Deana: Diamond Hill

Progress...

It won't really look like much until I add some color with the flowers, but here is where it stands right now.  I can't wait to see it with the flowers on.

For now, the top one is mostly stitched down - just the green left.
The bottom picture is all just glue basted.  I work full time as a teacher and have obligations in the evenings too.  When I don't have a weekend at home I don't get too much done.  In April we have two play weekends planned - yay!  I need the getaway but also need to get some projects done (ha ha).

I have a quilt nearly quilted.  Hopefully I can show it tomorrow.

  1. I certainly understand not having a lot of time to quilt when you are a teacher! My bestie is a first grade teacher, and I work for a school district (year-round). She always has papers to correct, teaching plans to make, grades to enter . . . it never ends until the end of the school year. ~smile~ I look forward to seeing this complete!

  2. I'm a retired teacher so know exactly how time is of the essence. Love these Diamond Hill blocks.

  3. The flowers are slowly growing - that's all that matters! Little bits of forward progress.

  4. Wait, Deana - You're a teacher?? I can't believe how much quilting you get done! I'm in awe. :) These are so pretty with the flowers added - going to be a wonderful quilt.

  6. This is still fabulous and a definite favourite for me. Love it.
Don't you hate how work interferes with sewing? :)
