Deana: Top Finished!

I decided to make this top into a queen size and just finished adding the  extra borders today.  I think there will be room for some wonderful quilting in all the white space.

You can get the pattern for FREE at this Fort Worth Fabric Studio Link.

  3. In the 1st QAL instructions, you list the white fabric requirement of 7.25 yards for queen and 4.25 yards for 70"x70".

I'm unclear if this yardage is for BOTH the white used in the top AND for the backing or just the backing or just the top.

Could you please clarify this for me, as I would prefer not to use white as the backing but something else instead.

In other words, do I need the 7.25/4.25 yards just to complete the top (and will need to get other fabric for the backing)?

Thanks so much for this incredible QAL. I just LOVE the pattern layout and the color palette ... simply stunning!

  8. Wow! I'm really happy to see the whole top. It's so gorgeous. The white really makes the log cabins and the other blocks stand out. Great craftsmanship too. Now, I should work on my curved log cabins...
