Stars and prep for next month

Marian has been working days this week, so my evenings have been open to sew.
I got my material for the hexagon quilt yesterday. JoAnn's had quilting fabric on sale and Wed. was Sr Citizen day, so I took advantage of that and saved $20.00.
My background is the plain green and the repeats is the colorful print. My medalions will be different fabrics, as they did not have matching in the colors I needed. I think it will turn out okay, though. The brown and green will be those pieces. The colors are much more vivid than the picture indicates.
Now that I have the fabric, I am getting more excited to get together.
Here are the stars. Above is the whole collection so far, for the Block of the Month, with the Irish chains. Below are the May blocks.

  1. I think your fabric choices are beautiful! LOVE your choice of stack n wack fabric -- it's PERFECT!

Your "Star Crazy" is looking so good. It is fun to see what the center is going to look like. I worked on mine today. I got most of my center chain blocks partially assembled (I worked ahead because I felt like it) and cut out my stars.

I can't hardly wait for June!
